A 20 Year Wait to Fish With Dennis Tietje at Grosse Savanne
I met Louisiana bass pro, crawfish farmer and all-around good guy Dennis Tietje at his camp on Toledo Bend in either 2001 or 2003, when he hosted a crawfish boil for a who’s who of professional bass anglers. I was one of the few interlopers there amongst the Hall of Famers. Since then, we’ve eaten together, hung out together and worked together, but until a recent trip to Grosse Savanne we’d never fished together. It turned out to be just about a perfect outing.
