If you're a serious bass nerd, the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is the coolest night of the year. The 2024 version may have been the best one yet.

I have consistently looked forward to attending the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame induction banquet in Springfield, Missouri. This year I was extra-excited, because after a year where there was more dissension than I can ever recall, I knew that this night would help me remember why I care so deeply about this sport.

We didn't know what to expect on our first alligator hunt at Grosse Savanne -- purchased in the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame Auction. It was amazing and every outdoors fanatic needs to visit the sporting paradise of Louisiana.

If you want to be in the fishing industry, particularly the bass fishing side of things, and you’re not in Tulsa this week, shame on you. It’s one of your best chances all year to network and gather material and make a your presence felt.

Because so much of our dream travel takes place overseas, we sometimes may give the impression that we don’t enjoy domestic fishing, or that it’s not “exotic” enough for our tastes. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, one of the highlights of our year is a now-annual trip to Springfield, Missouri.
