Six Highlights From Our June 2024 El Salto Trip
After 20 trips to Anglers Inn Lake El Salto, I know that they all have subtle differences. The fishing, service and scenery are always great, but as you’ll see below there were six things in particular that made this trip unforgettable.
Do We Need a Bigger Boat?
During our Islamorada, Florida fishing trip in May I caught SIX different species of sharks. When I did the math that means I only caught 0.01276595744680% of the world’s different species of sharks. Not as impressive as my strut, LOL. Our friend Jennifer Combs caught three different species, two of them different than the ones I caught. Our combined percentage has risen to 0.017021276595744%, slightly more impressive.

Some pros travel with their wives or families. Others, like Keith Combs, appear to be a solo act, but Keith’s wife Jennifer is an integral part of his tournament success. One of her consistent roles is to find not just tournament housing, but the right tournament housing, a task that can be far more complicated than it seems.
