Todd Sages: November El Salto Fishing Report
Veteran angler Todd Sages recently traveled with his wife MaryAnn Sages to Lake El Salto for their second November trip. Todd started fishing when he was 5, with his Dad in saltwater. He migrated towards freshwater at the age of 13 when he met a gentleman one day at a pond near his house and this started his love of bass fishing.
He has fished tournaments in the New Jersey Bass Nation Trail since he was 24 and placed here and there but in 2016 he finally accomplished what he had been striving for, winning Angler of the Year for the state.
The Sages have been wise to visit in November, which provided for great fishing and the always-great service, plus the benefit of the “Lake El Salto Fall Special,” which provides 5 nights of lodging and 4 days of fishing for the same price as the standard package, available during portions of November and December.
Obviously not every November trip is the same, but Todd offered up information and opinions about water level, lures, presentations, his guide, the accommodations, the food, the staff…and if you listen until the end you’ll hear one of his secrets.
