Apparel of the Week – Jungle Tested Threads
On a 2018 visit to Seattle, after leaving the Filson HQ, Hanna and I walked by the Beast Mode shop. At the time I didn’t put two and two together, but we were effectively in the shadow of the Seahawks’ stadium. Instead, I wrongfully assumed that I was about to be treated to the Duo Realis Fang Ops collection of lures, with the same Beast Mode motto.
I’ve used several of these lures on trips to Brazil and they are indeed made to stand up to the meanest fish that swim. On top of that, my dri-fit Fang Ops payara skull t-shirt is one of my favorites – it’s comfortable and a conversation piece. You can find some of the tees at US retailers, but check out the Asian and European markets and you’ll see some even cooler gear.
No word on whether Marshawn Lynch fishes for anything, let alone toothy Amazonian beasts, but he has one of the most badass fish tanks I’ve seen.
