Guadalupe Bass – Gear to Represent the State Fish of Texas
It’s not surprising that our friends in the bass-obsessed state of Texas have their own distinctive Micropterus species – but not everything is bigger in Texas. The IGFA all-tackle world record is under 4 pounds, and a 2-pounder is considered a much-larger-than-average specimen.
Nevertheless, they punch bigger than their weight in several ways. First is their reputation as fighters, largely built by fighting current their entire lives. Second the fact that our Texan friends are happy to celebrate them with all sorts of merchandise and art. Here are some of our favorites:
