Extreme High-End Bass Rods

Kyoya Fujita spinning rods at Tackle Warehouse

When we interviewed the folks from Daiwa at the 2024 Bassmaster Classic about their limited-edition Kyoya Fujita spinning rods, we got two main responses:

  • The overwhelming number of commenters got angry. “Who the hell needs to spend $1,300 on a bass rod?” they asked.

  • But a small number of equally passionate people had the opposite response and asked, “Where can I send my money to get one?

There’s always going to be a group of people who are willing to spend whatever it takes to get even the slightest edge on the water. It’s your money, and your prerogative. Personally, most of the rods I use cost between $150 and $250, but I regularly fish with a handful that retail for less than a hundred. I also have a few that I love that cost over $500.

The bottom line: You do you.

If you’re the type who is willing to open the purse strings to get what you perceive to be the ultimate in bass rods, below we list some options to consider in the $700+ range.

First and foremost, Daiwa has brought the extended “Kyoya lineup” to Tackle Warehouse, with three spinning models and one casting model.
