When I first got into bass fishing in the 1980s, Tequila Sunrise was a standard color, along with several other now-mostly-forgotten hues like Motor Oil and Black Grape Firetail. Multiple manufacturers still make soft plastics – mostly worms – in their respective versions of Tequila Sunrise, but they’ve also extended the tequila brand to various other categories of lures.
