Rapala’s Exotic International Topwater Paint Schemes
Walk-the-dog topwaters are a staple on a wide variety of fishing trips across the globe – both freshwater and salt – and while standard colors like silver, gold, fire tiger or white with a red head. Nevertheless, we’re always on the lookout for unique or potentially more productive paint jobs that “match the hatch.” Check out these five or Rapala’s new Precision Xtreme Pencil Exo. It reads like a bucket list of exotic species:
The Precision Xtreme Pencil Exo is available in 11cm (approximately 4.3”) and 13cm (approximately 5.1”) sizes.
Additional Notes:
Unfortunately, the Precision Xtreme Pencil Exo only seems to be for sale in Europe right now. That might change in the future, but I already see some on Ebay.
Alternatively, you can buy one of Rapala’s proven topwaters from the US market, like the Skitter V or Skitter Walk, and get them painted to match your wildest dreams.
One of our historical top producers in Brazil for both size and quality peacocks has been the Rapala X-Rap Sub Walk, so you might want to throw in a few of those, too.
The only other company I can find with a tarpon-flavored topwater is Molix, with their WTD Topwater.
Japan’s Dranckrazy offers an Arowana-styled hard bait that’s simply amazing.
