2025 Alaska Airlines Updates for Anglers

Alaskan Air plane flying over Bristol Bay

We’ve previously offered you a lot of links to Alaska Airlines resources, but in the two years since that first publication, the airline has continued to be a major mover and shaker for serious fishing travelers. They continue to offer a ton of flight options – not just to Alaska, but also to other airports we frequent, including Mazatlán and Guatemala City. In our limited experience, their service, their timeliness and even the pancake machine in the airport lounge are top notch.

The biggest change in their profile lately has been their merger with Hawaiian Airlines, which increases the footprint and possibly the benefits of both. It will particularly help our many friends in and around Seattle, who will now have numerous nonstop routes to Asian cities such as Tokyo and Seoul.

That’s a monster of a news item, and may make it wise for many of our fellow travelers to rely more heavily on Alaska and also to work on improving their status with the airline. It may behoove you to get an Alaska-branded credit, card, too. The following are some resources that will help you pursue those efforts.

They’ve also been running various promotions to “stack” miles in recent months, so be sure to sign up for their email alerts.

I know it may be cold where you live now, but it’s the perfect time to start planning your next Alaskan vacation. If you’d like to join us at Alaska’s Bear Trail Lodge in the future, or go with a group of your own when it’s most convenient for you, email Hanna asap.
