Last year Brazil decided to reinstate their visa requirements for travelers from various countries, including the United States. The Brazilian government has now extended the grace period before which you will need a visa for leisure or business travel until April 10, 2024.

Starting October 1, 2023, American travelers headed to Brazil to fish will need a tourist visa. Don’t delay. The process is a little complicated and time-consuming.
