Bass Fishing and Dessert Go Together Like Cake and Ice Cream

Topwater fishing lure on a birthday cake

If you cannot live without either fishing or desserts, fortunately they’re two great tastes that taste great together. I was reminded of this recently when I saw that the iconic Danny Joe’s Floating Worm has been recreated to resemble the nostalgia of the old school red, white and blue Bomb Pop popsicle.

They’re not the only ones who’ve replicated that days-of-summer-gone-by color pattern. The swimbait-obsessed team at Lateral Vision has gone down that same route in partnership with Basstrix. The pairing has also resulted in 5” hollow belly swimbait in an equally sweet shade of Creamsicle.

The list of sweet bait names and colors doesn’t stop there. Check out a list of some of our favorites below:

Obviously there are lots of lures and lure colors named after fruits, but for purposes of this piece I limited the search to only high-calorie and/or high fat options.
