New Megabass Valkyrie World Expedition Travel Rods at Tackle Warehouse

Tackle Warehouse has historically been diligent about stocking premium and/or hard-to-source products, including a long list of multi-piece rods ideal for travelers at any budget. That has included sticks from Megabass, like the Triza and Levante Series.

Recently they added another set, the Megabass Valkyrie World Expedition travel rods – two spinning rods and six casting rods. These feature several length and strengths that are otherwise hard to find in multi-piece tools. The casting rods are rated for heavier-than-normal lines and lure weights up to 6.3 ounces. That means there may be a choice that’s ideal for traveling swimbaiters, like the 7’8” heavy, the 7’11” XH or the 8’ XXH. The 6’5”model rated for lures up to 2.5 ounce may eventually be a favorite for anglers “chopping” for big peacocks.

While one of the spinning rods is a “conventional” 6’10” medium-light, the other on is rated for lures up to 1.4 ounces – again, something outside of the “all-around” models that are easier to purchase.

All of these packable four-piece rods are in stock now, but there’s no guarantee that they’ll be there in large numbers for the long haul, so if you’re tempted grab one now. The price is commensurate with Megabass quality, but not ridiculously outrageous for a JDM specialty tool.
