New Big Bass Baits for Mexico at Tackle Warehouse
Although we truly believe that it pays to pack the proven basics for your next bass fishing trip to Mexico, we continue to scour the internet for lures that might apply. Each year or two we seem to add one or two more “staples” to our list. Furthermore, a lot of you big bait fanatics think that’s the way to tempt a true giant. You might be right – in which case, here are some new offerings worth adding to your next Tackle Warehouse order:
Don’t be fooled by the lifelike trout coloration, these JDM 8-inch and 10-inch topwaters provide a big meal for Mexican bass feeding on other forage. Not inexpensive, but unlike a deep-diving crankbait you’re unlikely to lose one.
Another big gliding bait in 4-, 6- and 8-inch sizes, at a slightly more reasonable price. Available in a shad pattern as well as trout.
A mag squarebill from the JDM brand that is a favorite and poorly-kept secret of the pros from St. Clair to Sam Rayburn. I really like the Mat Real Funa color.
Not a new lure, but a new color palette in one of our best big fish producers. I will definitely have Mirage Gizzard Shad and Chartreuse Sexy Shad 2.0 in my bag on when we next return to Mexico.
A smaller ABS version of the resin glide bait that won multiple big tournaments in 2024. At this price point, you shouldn’t be afraid to throw it in the timber like you might with the original. I’ve been messing around with it at home over the past few months and I’ve been amazed at how easily even a novice can get it to do all sorts of maneuvers.
