New Multipiece Baitcasting Rods – January 2025
It appears that the tackle manufacturers are getting the message that two-piece rods and travel rods have a place for serious fishermen – perhaps not in tournament competition, but increasingly for those of us who fly to distant locations, as well as for urban anglers. We continue to scour the Tackle Warehouse site to find more options.
Here are six baitcasting series they’ve added. Some are bargains, some are good “do-everything” choices, and others are made for specialized techniques.
These H and XH models are the ones I’m most excited about – great options for big bait slingers or those who want to cross into the salt.
Two options with Winn Grips at a very low price.
The same actions as the MACH 1 above, slightly better components.
Reintroduction of an affordable travel rod staple, with two different tips to make it punch above its weight.
A 6’6” all-around model from a series we’ve used for a long time.
Two versions that’ll cover a lot of bases from a legacy name in the industry.
