All of the Multi-Piece Rods Available from Tackle Warehouse (Updated Spring 2023)
[This piece was initially published in August of 2021. We’ve updated it a couple of times since then, and will continue to do so, to include new models. The ones that are new to our list are bolded and italicized. In some cases we missed them the first time around, and in other instances they’re new to TW altogether.]
In this site’s short history we’ve probably written more about travel rods than any other U.S. publication or website. We haven’t fully integrated them into our day-to-day fishing, but we’ve taken several on our recent trips and been pretty darn impressed with how well they served. Of course, some of our coverage has been of JDM and other Asian specialty rods that aren’t widely available (or available at all) through conventional North American channels. For those of you not willing to purchase a rod from overseas sight-unseen, or from a retailer you don’t know, that can be a daunting option.
Fortunately, Tackle Warehouse, the most well-stocked online retailer in the U.S., has quietly expanded their supply of multi-piece rods in recent years as U.S. manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon. If you’re looking to buy one (or more) here are clickable links that’ll help you get started. Even with the recent supply chain issues, Tackle Warehouse keeps an incredible amount of inventory in stock, and if your need to travel has arisen suddenly you can generally get the rod in a day or two for a fairly minimal upcharge. Whether you’re looking for something “enthusiast grade” for a distant trip, or just a rod that you can stick in the back seat of your daily commuter, they have an option that should work for you.
