R-Rated in Mexico --  Reaction Innovations Lures We Love

Pete Robbins El Salto bass Reaction Innovations

Andre Moore hurt a few feelings and ruffled a few feathers when he brought Reaction Innovations to the bass fishing world, but you can’t deny that his products have had a long-lasting impact on the sport. Some of those earliest creations and still standard-bearers in their categories, and we have a bunch of them every time we fish – and especially when we go to Lake El Salto or Lake Picachos. Here are four that we never travel south of the border without.

Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver Hematoma

Other creature baits have come along, but this still defines them all. They’re durable, snake into thick cover, and hold a big hook.

Favorite Colors: Hematoma, Green Pumpkin Red

Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper Sprayed Grass

I always thought of this primarily as a swim jig or Chatterbait trailer, but down there it has excelled on both a Carolina Rig and Texas Rig.

Favorite Colors: Low Blow, Sprayed Grass (and White Trash as a trailer)

Reaction Innovations Bone Vixen topwater

I throw a Rico and a Whopper Plopper more than walking baits in Mexico, but when I want to cover water and they won’t eat the Plopper, this is my go-to topwater.

Favorite Colors: Bone, Silver Flitter Shad

Reaction Innovations Fat Flirt Worm Blank Check

There are times when the bite is tough, particularly when a slight cold front rolls through in the winter, and a shakey head or dropshot with a “big finesse” worm can produce some giants.

Favorite Colors: Magic Craw Swirl, Blank Check

And, just for the hell of it, here are some potentially NSFW colors (depending on where you work) for your amusement: Tramp Stamp, Dirty Sanchez, Penetration, Honey Doo Doo, Main Vein.
