Apparel of the Week – Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out

Keith Richards trout fishing hat

While working from home during the pandemic, I made an effort to work through the Rolling Stones’ catalog as backdrop music. It’s extensive, and generally compelling, although there are a few clunkers in the bunch (I’d put “Emotional Rescue” at the top of the list). The latter fact is ok –  in my opinion, music, like fishing, is about taking chances. The huge successes come when you step out of your comfort zone. My greatest satisfaction has come when I’ve tried trout fishing in Montana, tiger fishing in Africa and popping for tuna in Panama, genres where I knew next to nothing beyond the basic framework. If that made sense to you, check out this hat from Paramount Outdoors.

If you need a shirt, too, you can rock the one below, because a Boomer stoner from Ridgemont would no doubt have taken up fly fishing.

“Then me and Mick are gonna wing on over to Montana and jam with the Stones.” – Jeff Spicoli (2023)
