Striped Marlin Tattoos of Instagram
We’re hoping that Hanna’s marlin drought ends when we go to Baja this November. She’s paid her dues and deserves to get that notch in her belt. At that time, however, I will insist that she take some drastic step to memorialize the catch.
In some places, they make you “walk the plank” when you catch your first billfish, but she’s caught dozens of sailfish so that doesn’t apply. She has so far refused my request that she don a fish bra. Maybe the next step will be a tattoo of her great white whale.
Since the November trip should be mostly striped marlin, I looked through Instagram to get her some ideas. Here are a few of my favorites:
