What Are You Using to Cull?

Color Selections of the Berkley Cull Shad soft prerigged swimbait

Culling is the greatest feeling in tournament fishing – you’ve already got a limit, and now you’re trading out a smaller fish for a bigger one, but the title above doesn’t refer to cull tags or cull floats. I’m talking about the soon-to-be-released Berkley Cull Shad.

Everyone seems to be getting into the swimbait universe and Berkley is no exception. Their recent hard baits like the Choppo, the Stunna and the Dredger have been huge hits, so we have every reason to believe that this one will, too.

In fact, during the 2023 Redcrest tournament on North Carolina’s Lake Norman, lots of the top pros used the prototypes to earn high finishes.

We connected with Nathan Ragsdale at the 2023 Bassmaster Classic Expo and he gave us the scoop on what promises to be one of 2023’s hottest lures.
