James Niggemeyer Explains Why Your Yamatanuki Should be Mexico-Bound

Bassmaster pro James Niggemeyer with the new Yamamoto Yamatanuki

At the 2023 Bassmaster Classic Expo, in the GSM Outdoors booth, I met up with James Niggemeyer, tied for the nicest angler in bass fishing (opponent: Jeff Gustafson). He knows big bass, having lived in Texas for much of his adult life, so I asked him which new bait we should take to Mexico.

Without hesitation he grabbed for the new Yamamoto 3.5” Yamatanuki.

James described it as the ultimate combination of a finesse bait and a Bubba bait.

What exactly does that mean? Click the video and hear what James had to say.
