My Proudest Husband Moment of 2022

Trophy roosterfish in the Gulf of Chiriqui

Despite her inexplicable love for Carolina Rigging, my wife redeems herself with an equal-if-not-greater passion for topwater fishing that nearly matches my own. Whether it’s a Rico at El Salto, a Kermett Adams chopper in the Amazon, or a mouse-imitator on a remote Alaskan stream, she knows that sometimes it’s better to persevere with a surface lure than to stick with something “easier.”

On our trips to Panama, we’ve fished with a mixture of poppers, subsurface lures, live and dead baits. During our rainy November 2022 excursion, it would’ve been easy to curl up in a ball under her rainsuit and wait for a clicker to go off – instead, she kept popping. Check out the footage below:

Email her if you want to join us on our next poppin’ fresh adventure.
