Understanding Thermocline and Choosing the Best Garmin Color Palette

I love to fish but my fishing “career” never had a true beginning phase. I used the best fishing gear to start, including top of the line fishing lures and relatively new, high-end bass boats no more than four years old. The boats typically had space-age graphs, too, but I generally only looked at the screen to see the time.

Since I’ve started blogging, I’ve started having more questions and learning to ask them bluntly. Recently I was fishing on Table Rock Lake with professional angler Chad Morgenthaler and after catching some fish, at our next stop, Chad told me it was “time to learn.”

“Let’s learn about thermocline,” he said.

“Thermocline?” I had no idea what he was talking about.

Then he said, “You also need to understand color palettes.”

What, are we in art class?

Things make so much more sense now that he actually took me step by step and walked me through it on the water. Knowledge can be a dangerous thing. Pete may soon lose his place at the graph. If nothing else, I expect it will help me land a few more fish. Click on the video below:
