Billfish Socks for Fashionable Fishing Feet
Most people probably think I have ugly feet, but I’m not afraid to show them off. Unlike my wife, who keeps her shoes on after she gets home from work and prefers to sleep in some decidedly unsexy tube socks, I’m barefoot whenever possible. That includes the few times I’ve gone billfishing.
Still, as Spicoli might be happy to inform you, there are times when it’s, “No socks, no dice.” We’ve already told you how to spruce up your look with billfish-themed shirts, shorts and neckties. Now we’ll help you complete the look with matching socks.
I’m not sure I’m bold enough to wear them, but Bird Dog Bay’s fuchsia Marlin Madness socks are jarring (also available in turquoise).
Guy Harvey has some pretty wild jumping marlin socks.
And the offshore empire also sells equally action-packed jumping sailfish socks.
Surf Monkey Gear has some of the boldest sailfish prints I’ve seen.
Prep stalwart J. Crew offers some more subdued footwear.
So does the widely-available Goldtoe.
The Sailfish Brewing Company in Florida sells some that could be worn in a variety of circumstances — from fishing to imbibing.
Sun Dot Marine Flags of Hawaii offers a variety, including marlin, to celebrate your latest capture.
Someday we will catch a swordfish and Quaker Marine Supply may help us celebrate that achievement.
If those get covered in blood, we’ll rely on our pair from Socks and Souls.
