I’ll admit it – I’m a sucker for a good pinup picture. Beyond being attracted to Jessica Rabbit-esque figures, I like the artistic sensibilities. While they have a long history in the US, they’re most closely associated with the World War II era, where the Vargas Girls graced the noses of many fighter planes. Today, there are subcultures like burlesque that still celebrate this style, and if you can add in something fishing-related that just makes it better. I’ll occasionally run across one on a t-shirt or decal, particularly in the saltwater sphere. Here are a few examples.
