Get Gaffed
After watching the mates easily gaff mahi and tuna on our trips to Casa Vieja Lodge and Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge, I wanted to try it myself. Captain Shane Jarvis gave me the go-ahead and my friend Elliott Stark provided a quick tutorial and then I got after it on the next yellowfin we hooked. It was far from perfect, but satisfying nonetheless. I highly recommend it. Until then, if you want to show how much you like the process, wear one of the following shirts:
