Girl Power
During our most recent trip to Panama, I had the thrill of watching my friends Lisa Vicars and Tammi Hill reel in a 180 pound yellowfin. They’re both petite but in good shape, which proves that it’s not about sheer mass, but rather technique and willpower.
Here’s what they had to say about the taming the beast.
Lisa: “The fight was so tough and beat my body up, but it was worth every second of it to see that fish in the boat. Couldn’t have done with without my tag team partner Tammi.”
Tammi: “I never even considered the possibility of catching a tuna that big. It was amazing! Lisa and I made a great team. We were both determined to bring it in. It took a lot of patience and grit. Having Hanna cheering us on and the captain and mate helping us to manage the rod and the line made all the difference.”
